Paying rent should build your future. FUTR and Zonetail make it easy to earn rewards and credit for every on-time payment.

More than a third of Canadians pay rent. Renting is the reality for most young adults in Canada, with over 80% of those aged 25-29 paying rent. , yet those payments rarely help build their credit history. That’s about to change.

With housing costs continuing to rise, many Canadians are now spending more than half of their income on rent, making it more important than ever for those payments to contribute to their financial future.

As of late 2025, the average rent in Canada ranges between $1,700 and $2,100 per month, reflecting modest declines after years of sharp increases. While some markets are seeing slight relief, affordability remains a challenge nationwide. Unlike homeowners who build credit through mortgage payments, renters have historically received no credit recognition for paying rent on time, until now.

Through a new partnership with Zonetail, FUTR will launch a rent-reporting feature that helps renters strengthen their credit and earn rewards simply by paying rent on time.

Powered by FUTR’s AI Agent App, this new AI-powered rent-reporting program securely reports rent payments to credit bureaus while rewarding participants with FUTR Tokens for their data participation. This initiative is part of FUTR’s broader mission to help Canadians turn everyday actions into meaningful financial value, safely, securely, and transparently.

As FUTR continues to expand its ecosystem of AI Agent powered tools that reward users for everyday actions, this collaboration with Zonetail marks an exciting step forward. Together, FUTR and Zonetail are helping Canadians unlock real financial value from something they already do every month, paying rent.
